So today is six days from the day I started blogging and I am having a blast! I have not learned this much in so little time in a long time. I have spent probably over 80 hours researching ways to really learn the ropes of a problogger, so I can really translate my result to others that are also just starting a blog.
One thing that I have noticed this week is that I get side tracked easily into other blog comments and end up involved in so many conversations but the good thing is that its not a waste of my time, because I am learning at the same time that way I can actually translate to you guys what I’ve learned.
So far I have just been following every blog post from the problogger’s and applying what they teach. I don’t expect to become a success in days that’s why I just want to keep working harder to produce some good content and get in spot light.
What I have learned is the biggest suggestion or tip from big name bloggers is “Content” every one of them say “content is king” which I am sure a lot of you know already.
I dont want to blurb here about whatever so I going to give you 4 important tips that I have learned this week so far.
- Register the URL for you name. And of course you should consider creating a blog.
- Be careful with what you publish online because its easier to put things online than to take off. You might get searched one day for something important and they might find that drunken twitter message you left your buddy and that could hurt you.
- Check wikipedia. You don’t want some evil person that does not anything to do hurt your reputation and give you nothing but bad influence.
- Create your own category, don’t fight to be better in one that is already made. If you have read The 22 Immutable laws of marketing you understand what that means.
“Miller Lite was the first domestic light. It took an importer five years to say ‘If there’s a market for a domestic light beer, maybe there’s a market for an imported light beer.’ The result was Amstel Light, which became the largest-selling imported light beer.”
So there it is…if you have anything to add please I would be glad to listen. Leave a comment I will respond as soon as possible.
