Are You Ready to Market Your Company on Facebook?

Last month was a great month for the blog, I saw some growth in traffic and was glad to see more people sign up for updates.

This month I have one goal: to help you integrate Facebook into marketing mix, so you can grow your fans and turn them into customers.

I’ve studying Facebook in my free time and seeing some mind-blowing stats, that are just hard to ignore. It’s pretty obvious that big companies are beginning to use it and they are starting to understand the power of social media they ignored for so long.

Are you ready for Facebook

You know that if Facebook were a country it’d be the third largest in the world? What’s so awesome is that you can get in front of a big chunk of “the Facebook country” for free! It’s an opportunity many are taking advantage of, especially–great marketers and others.

It really doesn’t matter who you are, a B2B (business-to-business) service provider, consultant, or a small business, it’s becoming the fastest important part of a company’s marketing mix.

The good news is that Facebook isn’t just a social network; it’s growing their presence to company’s websites (e.g Gap, NYtimes.com, Levi’s jeans, Southwest) by using their social-plugins that let’s you leave comments on those sites and spread the word. Why this is good? It creates engagement with the brand.

Now you’re thinking that just because the companies I mentioned are giant brands you can’t get in the game. Wrong, you can also benefit from these features just like a billion dollar company can. There’s tons of different ways small and big companies are using Facebook creatively.

The growth of Facebook has been incredible, the closest another company to their numbers is Twitter and they’re close to 600 million users away and Linkedin is below 200 users. I’m not taking any points away from these two companies, I’m just trying to show you Facebook’s scale.

Although some might think it’s just a fad, I disagree and I think Facebook is democratizing advertising and marketing.

 

Final thoughts

This month, I’m going to do my best to help you utilize Facebook as a marketing channel for your business. I’ll explain the way that I’ve put together a marketing plan and why you need to create a Facebook Page for your business.
