5 WordPress Features You’ll Love

A few years back I would have never given web design a chance. But with tools like WordPress today, I’m not afraid of the web.

I can’t say I don’t know other simple publishing platforms, because that would make me a liar. There’s a few other content management tools like WordPress out there, but they’re not as appealing and pleasant to use as WordPress.

Best of all, it’s “FREE“.

It’s super fast, reliable, requires little troubleshooting (unless you’re getting crazy with it), and it allows you to customize it to your needs.

Here’s just a list of the key features that come of the bat with the installation, but remember you can install plugins that extend what WordPress can do for you.

Ease of use

If you’re use to using any desktop publishing software this will be a walk-in-the-park. What attracted me the most is how easy it made it for me to install it into my URL and literally within minutes I was up and running.
I also didn’t have any coding knowledge or experience, I think if I could do this, you can too.

The community is huge and growing

I think once you go “WordPress” you don’t go back, I mean these are the stats for WordPress, and a lot of these folks will answer your question on their forum. If not, you can find hundreds of other WordPress resources.

Affordable

If you have a business, you know it’s important to put money into building a website. But, sometimes if you’re a startup and you don’t have a lot of it at the beginning, you need to bootstrap it. Hello WordPress!! With WordPress you have the flexibility to get a beautiful looking website theme for an affordable price and be up and running in no time. I’m not going to lie, there’s a slight learning curve to getting the look you want, but if you’re use to using common applications, WordPress won’t kill you.

Easy to install

I have to install it? Yes, it’s as simple as clicking one button if you use certain web hosts. You literally click one button and follow the step-by-step process.

SEO friendly

Matt Cutts is the head of Google’s web spam team and he says use WordPress. It basically takes care of all the mechanics of search engine optimization. It also has one of the most useful SEO plugins that will help you with your SEO efforts.

There you have it, I could go on, and on about all the features WordPress offers but these are just five I really love and I believe you will too.
