I am back…and I am staying

So it’s been almost two weeks now since I made a post. The reason for that is that I have been busy with other projects, and I’ve been lazy and burnt out from blogging everyday. So I decided to give myself a vacation from wilsonusman.com.

Anyway, I learned a few lessons from those two weeks, and I hope not to repeat them ever again (knock on wood). One mistake that cost me is not being consistent with the blog posts everyday.

I noticed that when I was blogging everyday for the first two weeks of June, my blog was growing exponentially in numbers. Everything from my subscribers to my daily views and even email opt-ins. On the other hand, those numbers started going backwards as soon as I stopped keeping up with my blog posts. So a quick tip for you new bloggers and probably veterans too, BE CONSISTENT!

So what else did I not do? Well, I stopped commenting on other blogs every other day. Normally I like to stop by some of the favorite blogs that are in my niche to see what’s up and learn something new. You never learn enough when you’re blogging, that’s for sure. So once again, if you make comments in other blogs, you’ll find that it can increase your blogs readership if you do it consistently and also can help you network with other successful bloggers. And I think a lot of your blogging success is due to networking with others online. Commenting not only helps you get more readers, I believe its great to listen to the comments and put your two cents. GET IN THE CONVERSATION!

One thing I also stopped doing was interviewing people in my network or niche. I think those were awesome and so people really appreciate those. I got a lot of emails from people asking to do more and I really slacked at that. My goal for July is to at least interview three more people this month.

Among others are things like not getting in the conversation with friends online, meeting new people and visiting forums and such. It can be hard at times, specially when you’re working on multiple projects at once. I am currently building another two niche websites so I can reach the location independent lifestyle that I’ve been dreaming about, and because I’ve been so focused on one thing I’ve let go of other things like my blog.

So today, I am filling out a calendar, so I can split the month in two parts. One part of the month I’ll spend time on this blog and the other half will be dedicated to my niche sites.

Last but not least, I can say even though I stopped blogging half way through the month, I am happy with the results. So far my readership keeps growing every month and so is the traffic too. I’ve finally made some great connections online that are helping, not trying to sell me their crap and everything seems to be moving in a good direction.

Look forward to providing everyone with some excellent tips and tricks to move closer to that lifestyle they want and to making ten thousand or more each month. I have some excellent secrets that are going to shoot your online business to the next level.
